GUDI PARVA:
Gudi Parva is mainly celebrated in Maharashtra on the first day of Chaitra (March-April). Chaitra Pratipada marks on the beginning of the Hindu New Year. People get up early in the morning, clean up their houses, have ablutions and wear festival and new clothes. Women decorate their houses with Rangoli. A silk banner is raised and worshipped and then greeting and sweets are exchanged.
